BEZ Systems exploits powerful Oracle EM Grid Control capabilities to increase manageability and control
Announces Immediate Availability of BEZProphet Release 2.0
Boston, MA USA – October 11, 2006— BEZ Systems, an Oracle Partner and innovator in the emerging market for Predictive Performance Management solutions, today announced the immediate availability of a new release of BEZProphet™ for Oracle®. BEZProphet R 2.0 extends its reach of Oracle integration to include support for Oracle Enterprise Manager (EM) 10g Grid Control. BEZProphet customers are now able to extract detailed performance information directly from the EM 10g Grid Control repository through the use of an Oracle certified EM Management Plug-In.

EM for 10g Grid Control represents a significant improvement in the ability to manage increasingly complex IT environments, while at the same time simplifying management, ensuring consistent service delivery and lowering costs. To this, BEZ adds a forward-looking element by using advanced analytics and predictive technology to understand future service delivery, response time and throughput. Using this same technology, BEZProphet "what-if?" analyses allow companies to understand and quantify the performance effects of inevitable future changes within their environment and make informed decisions about tuning or capital expenditures. BEZProphet users can easily and rapidly perform multiple "what-if?" analyses to understand how changes such as new applications, adding more end-users, server consolidations, new hardware introductions and business growth will affect future service delivery.

BEZ has joined Oracle’s Grid Control Development Program to tap into the EM 10g Repository performance data. This removes the need for BEZProphet to employ its own native data collectors and significantly reduces and consolidates management efforts. Later this month, BEZ senior marketing and technical staff members will be presenting an overview of this powerful new capability in the Oracle Mini-theater at Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco.
With EM Grid Control collecting the performance profiling metrics and BEZ Systems providing the predictive analysis engine, these two solutions combine to generate a powerful proactive performance solution for the Oracle database customer.
