BEZVision Product Tour: Workloads
Flexible Workload Definitions - BEZVision provides a powerful but flexible facility for defining the actual business workloads that are running on the system. Workloads can be easily defined by filtering any combination of machine, user, program or module. An "Other" workload can also be defined that will automatically pick up any resource consumption that may be new or unknown. |
CPU Consumption by Workload - Once workloads are defined, you can begin to manage performance according to the relative importance each individual workload to the business. We can begin by looking at each workload's consumption of CPU cycles. |
Database Instance View - As an alternative to looking at CPU consumption by individual workload, you can also view total CPU consumption by database instance. The ability to view this information both ways allows for a more complete picture of how the workloads and various database instances are performing. |
Workload Response Time - One of the most important views provided by BEZVision is the average response time detail. This view shows the average response time per workload over time providing an easy means to determine if service level commitments are being met. |
Database Response Time - Once again, as an alternative, you can view the average response time by database instance providing a more complete picture of how the individual components contribute to overall response time. |
